Outcome measures
In this video Sarah describes the outcome measures that can be used to measure change across the PARAS programme. These measures can be undertaken independently by the stroke survivor prior to part 2 or with the healthcare professional during part 2.
Links to more information on the outcome measures can be found below:

Part 2: Activity selection, goal setting & action planning
In this video Sarah describes the steps that need to be undertaken during Part 2. The steps include: activity selection; goal setting; barrier identification and action planning.
To aid activity selection we have provided a Physical Activity Options booklet for healthcare professionals. The booklet has links to UK wide resources and has space to fill in information on local resources. Once local resources have been added, a hard copy of the booklet can be printed out or can be viewed as a PDF on a tablet/phone to aid PARAS delivery with stroke survivors.
To download the Physical Activity Options booklet to add your local options, please click the button below.
If your patient has speech and language problems and is struggling to use the workbook, we have created some icons with support from an aphasia research group for use as communication ramps. The icons will aid discussion on benefits of physical activity, outcomes of physical activity and activity choices.
To download the icon sheets, please click here.
When a stroke survivor has completed Part 2, they can summarise their goal on the goal setting summary form, which can then be put on their fridge etc. to remind them of their goal.
